My hot button trigger issues are generally in the area of science, medical technology, foreign policy, sound political decision making as regards to same, and ensuring we don’t make the same mistakes as that near theocracy south of our border. There is every indication that Stephen Harper and his social conservatives are indeed meddling in these areas of concern. As just one example; The recent political appointments to the board of the Assisted Human Reproductive Canada agency have recently been condemned by the Editor in Chief of the Canadian Medical Association Journal. And I quote; “the apparent socially conservative biases of some members will mar the institution and will haunt the agency’s future work.” The entire article is below and I would strongly suggest that it be read by everyone.

And who says a minority government can’t do any damage! These So-Cons are playing with the health and welfare of potentially millions of people – and inserting questionable religious beliefs into areas of medical science that needs facts, not fairy tales.
